Amy Johnson, MSW, is passionate about working with families of all ages and sizes.  For over 25 years—as a Personal Coach, School Social Worker, Parent Educator, Youth Director, community volunteer, and parent—Amy has worked diligently to provide families with tools that will help them flourish and thrive physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually

Amy currently works with parents and teens individually and in groups, presents workshops and classes, and is on staff for the Advancing Leadership Youth Program in Federal Way.  In addition, she has worked with the Federal Way Public Schools, New Phoebe House, Fostering Together and other organizations serving parents and youth in the Puget Sound Area.  She is co-author of the book, Parenting by Strengths: A Parent’s Guide for Challenging Situations.

Amy offers comprehensive sexuality education in her faith community and is working to increase the quality of sexuality education offerings locally, regionally, and nationally. She writes the column “Sex in the Suburbs” in, The Federal Way Mirror, addressing issues of sexuality in order to encourage conversations about this important topic.
