Ron graduated with honors from the University of Florida Fisher School of Accounting in 1994. He studied in the specialized "3/2" program where he simultaneously earned both his Bachelor's of Accounting and his Masters of Taxation degrees, graduating with honors.
Ron began his career with a "Big Four" accounting firm, and has been a financial, tax, and estate planner since entering the profession. While consulting on tax and research projects for businesses and individuals, he helped establish the Miami office of Arthur Andersen Financial Advisors.
Ron ultimately founded his own financial services firm, Myers Financial Services, Inc. While practicing as a Certified Public Accountant, Ron also provided comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services to executives and retirees. In 2008, Ron merged his practice with Associated Investor Services, Inc.
Ron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He has been a featured speaker at various events and seminars and currently serves as an instructor for financial education courses. Ron has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, the Associated Press, the South Florida Sun Sentinel and various industry publications.
Ron holds his securities license through Investacorp, Inc., a Registered Broker/Dealer, Member FINRA, SIPC.
